Terri Carrion has been practicing yoga for over 20 years. She trained with Leslie Hanks' Yoga Unlimited and has a holistic approach to yoga which incorporates Ayurveda, somatic techniques, poetry and the study of texts that brings yoga back to its roots as a spiritual life practice.

She is a poet and editor and earned her MFA in Creative writing at Florida International University. With her husband, she co-founded the grassroots non-profit 100 Thousand Poets for Change which works with poets and artists all around the world to promote peace, justice and sustainability through cultural events and actions. Locally, she is President of Friends of Lake Jackson, an advocacy group for the lake and is also President of Anhinga Press, the Tallahassee based poetry press founded in 1976.
