Bridget K. Burke-Wammack, MA18418, Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Lymphedema Therapist, Certified Thai Massage Therapist, Certified Core Myofascial Therapist, Aromatherapist, and Reiki II Practitioner.

Bridget graduated from the Core Institute and became licensed in 1994.  In 2007, Bridget became a Certified Thai Massage Therapist from Zen Thai, and a Certified Core Myofascial Therapist from the Core Institute.  In 2010 she obtained her Certification in Complete Decongestive Therapies from the Academy of Lymphatic Studies and Manual Lymph Drainage from the Manual Lymph Drainage Institute.

Bridget began her career providing relaxing (Swedish) massage in a massage wellness center with six other massage therapists.  She had the opportunity to learn about many other massage modalities while there and continued her studies.  Bridget was appointed by former Governor Crist to the Board of Massage Therapy; currently she serves as Vice Chair for the Board.  She has owned and operated her massage practice for 14 years.  In addition to contracting with a chiropractor; she taught massage therapy for the Core Institute.

Bridget’s goal is to help her clients become pain free and to reduce stress, whether from injury, illness or stress from everyday life.  Bridget custom blends essential oils for aromatherapy massages.  For clients suffering from lymphedema, she will manually drain the lymphatic vessels, thereby reducing swelling, and wrap extremities as required.  For clients in need of gentle stretching and range of motion a Thai massage may be just the thing.  For injuries that are years old, a myofascial massage will release the fascia and help the client move with less restriction.  For spa like pampering a Hot Stone or relaxing massage is perfect.  Finally, for clients suffering from chronic pain, chemotherapy, fibromyalgia, or end of life issues; Reiki is very light work and has wonderful success in reducing the pain and stress related with such illnesses.
